Welcome to Age Concern Newcastle

Welcome to Age Concern Newcastle. Age Concern Newcastle’s mission is to enhance the status and wellbeing of all older people in the City of Newcastle upon Tyne and to make later life fulfilling and enjoyable.
Age Concern Newcastle works from MEA House in the centre of Newcastle offering a range of services and support for anyone who considers themselves to be retired and who lives in or around the City.
Later life should be a time of fun and freedom. Too often it is not, because older people do not have enough income, are hampered by mobility problems, sight or hearing deficits, or are lonely and isolated.
Age Concern Newcastle aims to redress the balance by making available low-cost, enjoyable activities across a wide range of interests tailored to the needs of individual older people.
For more information on activities please access What's On.
We also campaign to change perceptions and attitudes and to remove the barriers to participation older people suffer. We do this locally in partnership with others who share our vision and perspectives.
We support national campaigns through Age Concern, the Federation.
