Background
Age Concern is a member of Age Concern, the Federation, and has been an active presence working with and for older people in the City of Newcastle since 1965.
We offer a range of services to meet the needs of older people across the whole spectrum of later life. We work with others who are concerned to promote the rights and responsibilities of older people, especially the Elders Council and a Better Life in Later Life, who form part of the Quality of Life Partnership for older citizens of Newcastle. We are involved in all the formal structures in the City which have an influence over older people’s lives.
We constantly strive to improve the work we do and to be as responsive as possible to what older people tell us they need.
