Computer Classes
All our computer facilities are available to people aged 50 and over.
We provide tutored computer classes to enable older people to acquire basic and intermediate computer skills across a range of software packages.
Classes generally run for 10 weeks and there are 10 places in each class.
They take place in our ground floor IT Suite in MEA House.
The cost of a block of 10 1½-hour classes is £32.
The next block of classes will start in October and a programme will be available here shortly.
We are still using the Windows XP operating system.
To join a waiting list for future classes, call in to the Leisure & Learning Service office in the Healthy Living Centre on the ground floor of MEA House or telephone Jennifer Taylor on 0191 235 9914 (or 0191 232 6488, main switchboard).
We also have Computer Drop-ins and a Cyber Café.
